COFFEE HOUSE: Offering American Buffet Breakfast in Hong Kong.

I overheard the sound of a rough hoarse noise of my snores while my stomach is competing with its sound. I immediately pull myself from my warm cocoon, fluff up the pillows and blankets while thinking of a breakfast in a topographic point that marks my first day the moment I woke up. I think of bowls of sparkling berries and sweet cream, toasted bread, eggs, hash browns, back bacon, sausage and freshly squeezed orange juice and I just want to splurge with calories before I start ambling around Hong Kong.

You simply have to be keen to explore the diverse culinary scene in Hong Kong as they have a plenty of restaurants and cafes to choose from and this is what makes Chinese people being known about. One of these restaurants that you should try is the Coffee House at the Kimberley Hotel in Hong Kong.

The coffee House of Kimberley Hotel is located near the lobby and reception area. I was really expecting of a Chinese food breakfast buffet since I’m in Hong Kong, but to my  surprised, they offered a palatable American breakfast buffet.

The minute I entered into the coffee house, I was welcomed by the enticing smell of the foods while imagining the happiness of my little kiddos inside my stomach. The area is quite big with the table  arrangement that’s good for two, four and even for a family size table. I like the idea of how they set up the food, they take advantage of the large column in that area where they do round set up the food around the column as it appears to be more attractive than being destructive to the eyes.

I was seeing a green leafy vegetables in their enticing color that are incredibly nutritious and very high in all sorts of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants and some vegetables were sliced in their cute little size enough for my tongue and mouth to enjoy. There were soft steamed carrots, sweet tomatoes, red beans, a well cooked grain of a sweet yellow corn, a thin stripped bacon and a lot more to make your own choice of a vegetable salad with a dressing of your choice. You’ll never run out of a choice for your vegetable salad and you will certainly enjoy.

Your favorite American breakfast buffet will never complete without the presence of the main dish that you’ll surely love to try. They have a sauteed seasonal vegetables, hash brown, egg, bacon, sausage, sliced or toast bread with a bread stuffing you wish to try. They as well have different bread for you to savor as they want to make sure your satisfaction before leaving the place. Anything that can shove down your gullet, you can truly have it all at the comfort of your time and that will surely keep you coming back to get more of their food.

I was filling my plate with all the food that I wish to taste, I want to make sure that I’ve tried everything that tempting my eyes and stomach. They as well have cheeses, raisins, dried plum, sweet and fresh fruits, yogurt, juice, coffee and so much more. Nothing compares to a feeling of being satiated of your breakfast before you begin your day.

I would like to extend my greatest gratitude to Ma’am Goldie and Sir Serafin Uy, Jr. For sponsoring my 4 nights and 3 days stay in Hong Kong and for letting me experience flying with Cathay Pacific. This is one of the memorable travel I had so far and I’m so happy for having this. Thank you again and God bless you both and your family.

  1. I always laugh at how we interpret each other’s foods. This looks yummy, but not necessarily what I would find on my breakfast table. One of my favorite things about traveling is trying the authentic foods from all the different lands and cultures. ❤

  2. Wow! I want a sponsored vacation too! hahaha I hope If I can find one for our family, I would be ecstatic. 😉 HK is one of the places in my must-visit list with the kids. I’m sure they will enjoy it especially Disneyland.

  3. Wow! This looks like such an incredible meal! I wouldn’t know where to start!

I really enjoyed reading your post, it was the perfect balance between text and images. Well Done!

  4. It’s nice to know that you can find something that you may unknowingly be craving, outside of its country of origin. Looks delicious!

  5. This is a great find. Its hard to look for an american resto or food hub in this city. Its been our challenge during our stay most especially when we travelled with our kids. They are very picky eater and they really doesn’t like the food. I need to plan ahead and look for menus with egg bcoz thats just what they like.. or they wont eat unless its Mcdo!

  6. There seem to be more and more Western style food places in Asia but really I think they should stick to their own food which is often better! Glad to see there are some hashbrowns though – they are a must!

  7. The food selection is nice!!! Sometimes when you’re in a foreign country you’ll be looking for comfort food or anything you’re familiar with. The coffee house food looks yummy and enticing! I want to try the bread 🙂

  8. I love breakfast buffets with a variety of food and not just the usual. Eating in a hotel’s resto is really a breath of fresh air especially when you are served good food. I’d still look for rice though, haha! But if there are potatoes, I’m sold.

  9. I’ve never been to Hong Kong but I know I definitely will. It’s one of the place I’ve always wanted to visit and I will do someday. This coffee house looks so cool. I really like the vibe and the atmosphere, feeling like the 50s or so. There’s plenty choice of food and it looks so delicious, I love it!

  10. For hotels catering to international guests, they usually serve their meal on buffets. Although, for larger scale hotels, they also serve the country’s local delicacy. Nevertheless, it looks like you had large breakfast to get your ready for your excursions.
