THE KIMBERLEY HOTEL: A peaceful HOTEL that just few steps from Central ATTRACTIONS of HONG KONG.

I’ve travelled far away from home and I had a blank face when I had finally known where would I stay for the succeeding 3 days. Everything altered the moment I step outside the landed Cathay Pacific. My eyes had a slumberous state of peace as if straining to bring it to a deep slumber and that my body would concede to its plea. I was trying to be on my active state reminding myself that I’m no longer in the Philippines and that I have to be observant all the time. I didn’t know where my feet go, all I know at that time was I followed the one that says I’m a leader of the band.

I was inside the elevator and I remember an index finger pressed the number 9 until it brought me to the 9th floor. I was welcomed by the beautiful paintings hanging on the wall while slowly traipsing on a carpeted floor which lead me to a room 911. I held my card on hand as this would be a key to enter into this room while forming a picture in my mind how does the room looks like. I’m a bit excited knowing that I will finally use another comfortable bed and I would sleep so straight without anyone bothering I’ve used the bed and that’s something I like about staying in a Hotel.

Have you remembered that I said I have imagined before I entered into the room? I was actually imagining that the room is like the one in movies and TV shows where I can take in a beautiful view of a concrete jungle of Hong Kong in which I was confirmed right the next morning. Arriving early in the morning in the Hotel like around 12am I guess and the bed has been waiting for my jaded body so they could kiss each other at their own consolation.

The Lobby of Kimberley Hotel

Who doesn’t love to begin their morning by sipping a hot tea while enjoying the concrete jungle view from the window of their room? Each room has a gratuitous set of a morning pacification, they have coffee with creamer and green tea, it’s like handing you a freedom you don’t require. They sustain a coffee cup for two, a drinking glass and a water heater. They likewise have a complimentary mineral bottled water, a small fridge and a microwave. These what I found out the morning I awakened up in the standard room we had.

The interior design of the room holds a contemporary decor with neutral color scheme and blonde-wood furniture that really creates a distinct ambiance that suits your taste. The room is not that spacious, but it has two single beds and one pillow provided on each bed with a white color of a thick quilt that surely makes you a total suave that your body needs and this will surely mollify you after a long travel. They bear round cunning little table that place close to the window. A one standard lamp that emits two lights for both beds. The room is fully air conditioned, it has 18 inches LED TV that would surely keep you entertained and the most demands things in the world is WIFI connection which is very reliable and high speed internet access.

My leisure time in the morning is when I start to see the comfort room to do my morning routine. They have hair dryer which I believed was a decoration since I’m not familiar of it, slippers, towels, hand towels, a wall mirror that would make you smile when you see your morning face and a bathroom with a complete set of toiletries from shampoo, body soap, body wash and a skin moisturizer. They as well have a bathing tub, hot and cold shower, which would make your morning great.

The most awaited perks of staying at this Hotel is the American Breakfast buffet which would surely build your morning awesome. The buffet is located at their coffee house just really close to the lobby and reception area. Their breakfast buffet will offer you the other side of Hong Kong in which I’ll be blogging it as well the soonest. They have a boat load of food choice that will surely satisfy your morning crave and you would enjoy the place as well.

I would like to extend my greatest gratitude to Ma’am Goldie and Sir Serafin Uy, Jr. For sponsoring my 4 nights and 3 days stay in Hong Kong and for letting me experience flying with Cathay Pacific. This is one of the memorable travel I had so far and I’m so happy for having this. Thank you again and God bless you both and your family.

  1. The hotel looks lovely. The lobby especially looks like something out of a movie! Hong Kong is somewhere I haven’t been but would very much like to explore. You’re very lucky to have had your trip paid for – what a treat!

  2. Congratulations for getting yourself on a sponsored trip to HK. The thing with HK hotels is that space is premium. Typically, rooms are small. VERY SMALL. Not for this hotel though. At 22 sqm, that is considered big especially by HK standards.

  3. I was just in another blog reading about her hotel stay and now here also about a hotel haha… Anyway this one looks luxurious and I know that HongKong is expensive so I can only imagine how much it would cost me to stay at Kimberley, but if the hotel is this beautiful then why the hell not. Also I’d love to try their buffet. It’s one of the things that I look for in a hotel actually. I like having a good breakfast.

  5. 546 guest rooms sound like quite a huge hotel. Though the room looks small, good to know that they had all the amenities for your comfort and the breakfast buffet looks extravagant. It always makes sense to stay in a hotel close to the attractions of the destination.

  6. Thanks for this very comprehensive review! I felt like I was there, too with the way you vividly described everything! Nothing truly beats sinking into a comfortable bed after a long day of nonstop wandering about…especially in HK! 🙂

  7. Kimberley Hotel seems a nice hotel. It’s good also that it’s in an accessible location. The hotel is also big and all so a lot of guests can be accommodated. How I wish you provided photos of your room so I could see a more personal look of it. Thank you for sharing this hotel review.

  9. I love the yellow carpet. Hahaha! Their room looks luxurious. Hotels in Hongkong are small.. others say mostly are cramped but this one’s quite not the same. I would love to check this out on my next trip to Hongkong. I love their breakfast menu!

  11. Wow. Hk has a lot of hotels to offer and I’m glad you liked the one you’re staying in. Looks like it’s really comfortable and the breakfast! Wahhhhh the breakfast looks really yummy. Plus points too for being in the center of everything. Hehe.

  12. I adore Asia. I only have good memories of the place I have been in the Middle East. This reminds me a bit of it. Big luxurious hotels, even in the middle of the city. This must have been an amazing experience. I enjoyed the pictures a lot too!

  13. Location is the most important thing for me when I’m travelling so you sold me on the Kimberley Hotel with that. I’ve been to Hong Kong so I know that Tsim Sha Tsui is the place to be! This looks & sounds like a fantastic hotel, I think if I stayed there, it would be hard for me to leave & go sightseeing everyday! 🙂

  14. Bright and vibrant feel is what I get from these pics. I would definitely inquire about Kimberley hotel when visiting HK. It’s good that it is so near from central area.

  15. All I can say is someone must have really extra money to afford a good hotel in HK. Branded as the most expensive place to buy a land. A decent hotel in hk is really expensive. I just stayed at Mirador Mansion when I went to HK. If you know the place its not a typical hotel and I doubt you can find something here in the Philippines. You are lucky to stay in such a nice hotel in Hk. Love the bed and I actually love the carpeted floor 🙂

  17. Well-deserved, Lai. Galing lang. Sana may ganito din akong invite in the future. 🙂

I will surely refer to this article, Lai, when fate brings my feet to Hong Kong.

Great review of the hotel, of course. I remember our exchange of thoughts about this review thing last time.

Pro na pro. I must say you have exceeded the expectations. It looks as if you’ve been doing this thing for a decade.

  18. We will be visiting Hong Kong for the 2nd time now and this is a luxurious hotel! I like to know their roomrates. Which is this located? Any website where I can check? Sosyal kaayo, maka imagine na daun ko posing for instafeed. HAHA-Jay

  19. I believe one of the best things about this hotel is location. Followed by price and room size. It is challenging in HK to book a place with wide space and reasonable price. By looking at the photos, the room looks good and not limited in space. I could say its really a good deal. I love that its few minutes walked to MTR and Nathan Road. It would save you time and energy if the hotel is surrounded by convenient shops, boutique, mall, and restaurants

  20. Congrats for landing a sponsored gig on this trip! And wow, the hotel looks amazing. I don’t check-in to hotels that much because they are a bit expensive but if the view is worth it, I really don’t mind spending a few extra bucks.

  21. Wow! You are so fortunate to be able to have this vacation Lai! Anyway, the hotel really really looks nice! As expected of a hotel in Hongkong! I hope you enjoyed this trip a lot!

P.S. Naa jud kay ONSEN pose diri da! hahahahaha

  22. Wow! Iba talaga ang Master! lol.Anyway, congrats Lai! Obvious kaayu that you really had a great time with your jaunt in HK! :)This hotel is really luxurious basing on the picture where you had a great cup of coffee.hahaha..(superstar ang peg)

  23. Master Lai, I envy you… huhuhu.
Anyway, the place looks luxurious. I love everything about it, And Oh, I love American breakfast. Thanks for this detailed review Master Lai. I might consider this hotel when I go visit HK but It seems i can’t afford it not unless I will be sponsored too. 🙂

  24. We rarely stay at hotels but there’s always something in them that makes your stay feel posh and luxurious. I forgot the name of the hotel we stayed in during our HK trip in college but they had bunk beds perfect for groups and budget travelers.

  26. Hotels like these are so intimidating and scary to visit at first as you’d think that they’re way expensive and out of reach. This is why we bloggers should be able to package a place and be able to show the place’s beauty and quality to the readers. Amazing post! Love the place! I’m sure families are having a great time here.

  27. Thanks a lot for sharing this with all of us you really know what you’re talking about! Bookmarked. Kindly also visit my web site =). We could have a link exchange agreement between us!
