La Residencia Al Mar Hotel: A convenient HOTEL in DUMAGUETE CITY with a HOMEY atmosphere.

There was this familiar sound ruining my peaceful slumber, telling me to wake up and preparing for an early travel. I was rubbing my stinging eyes tardily opening it as if it wanted to get back to where it was naturally desired. I was fighting with my eyes and tell him my plea, he was scared and definitely had no choice, but abide by my brain’s rules.

The dawn of the space age is a mark with an excitement. The break of the day came, reminding me of another promise, so I was almost half of way in the middle of nowhere where the comforting sunlight met me, I was telling myself is this a promise? Yes, a promised to dwindle the coldness I felt inside the bus as I worked my way to Dumaguete City. A long drive and the serious date with the waves brought me to Dumaguete City with a welcoming smile coming from the receptionist of the La Residencia Al Mar Hotel.

Rizal Boulevard

I opened the door and I instantly noticed the big beam covering the reception area that appears to be distracting to the eye, but looking around was eventually comforting. It’s a unique hotel that appears to be like a big mansion owned by a rich man as my first impression. There’s a small place on the left side with 2 comforting sofa and a 2 cushion like chair that serves to be a space to wait and where every guest can rest.

The check in time was supposed to be around 12:00 PM, but they were kind enough to let us check in around 10:00 am. There’s a wide stairs going up covered with a green carpet that’s simply appearing to be a sui generis moment that everyone would definitely love to experience. You recognize that feeling when you supposed to feel a bit uneasy as you have just traipsed your feet in a certain place, but you’d feel even more comfortable? Yes, the ambiance of this place is truly comforting, it’s like being in the comfort of your own house.

On the second floor, the whole floor is made by a well garnished wood covered with a green carpet. There’s another table with chairs near our room, where you can have a good time while reading some magazines and sipping your redolent coffee in the morning. The place is really peaceful and the staff is really friendly. They won’t let you just go by without greeting you in their soothing voice and natural smile.

The room we had was big enough to amble around, there’s a small fridge and cabinet that’s enough to put all your things. Two double beds with a well chosen bedding’s that rhyme to the interior design of the room. There’s a glass table and one chair provided. The floor is embellished with shiny color that really looks elegant. The window was covered with a white adorn curtain that will really bring pacification and good for the eyes.

There’s a two pillow provided on each bed with a thick quilt and really gives you a total suave that your body needs and this will surely mollify you after a long travel. The room has also a bay view which is the highlight of this Hotel. You’ll surely love the dramatic scene when you wake up early in the morning while seeing the people and cars passing by the street and the sound of the waves kissing the coast, while enjoying the morning breeze coming from the vast ocean just in front of you.

What this Hotel can also offer is the Restaurant that’s just located within the Hotel. There are about 3 restaurants that they have, the Don Alilano Fine Dining, WAKAGI (Japanese), and the Filipino Restaurant. This will certainly be convenient to every guests where they can fully enjoy their freedom in doing restaurant hopping.

Don Alilano Fine Dining

The Hotel itself is very convenient, very close and accessible to almost all the establishments within the City. It’s like staying in one topographic point where you can just extend your hands a bit and you can have everything. The chance of experiencing the night life in Dumaguete City to the street food hopping in the boulevard and trying the nearby beanery that offers comforting food to every stomach.

Everything about this Hotel is just awesome, the price may sound expensive, but it will surely meet your expectations and worth the money you spend. This is beneficial for someone who’s looking for an escape from the corporate world, a business trip accommodation, a treat for yourself, a place for a couple or just a place where you wanted to stay while waiting for the day to end, this place is suited to everyone.

HOW TO GET TO LA RESIDENCIA AL MAR HOTEL

You can book a flight going to Dumaguete City, since Dumaguete City is the entry point. The minute you arrived in Dumaguete City Airport go straight and look for a jeepney or tricycle and ask the driver to take you to the La Residencia Al Mar Hotel, if he can’t able to locate where is it located, just tell the driver it is located along the Rizal Boulevard.

  7. I know this place! I always pass by here whenever we’d do our morning and evening jog along Rizal Blvd. The only think I didn’t like about it was its color orange lighting at night coz it looked like it was on fire. Lol! But other than that, it looks like a nice place to stay at when visiting Dumaguete City. 🙂

  8. This is a nice hotel, something I should consider the next time I visit Dumaguete. I can only count the number of times when I stayed for more than two days in this city. Most of the time, I’d only be here for a day and move on to my next destination. It’s about time I’d do a much longer trip within Negros Oriental. -Claire Algarme

second, I really like the place, really nice ambiance. Though the room rates are a bit pricey for my taste. But I wouldn’t mind coming there with my family if ever we’ll be going to Dumaguete. =)
