Blogging is my CHANCE to INSPIRE and bring CHANGE

There seems to always be a guarantee in life that change will come about, but how do we embrace change and how do we as an individual will promote change to help others by giving a certain value and take a very first step that leads to a better change?

We’ve all learned that change is good and change is the only constant in this life.

But as often as we hear it, a lot of us are still struggling with it. Why? Because most of us is being controlled by extreme antipathy for change. But how on earth that most of us would hate a certain change instead of encompassing it with understanding and be thankful for change has arrived? Because when a sudden change has landed on our comfort zone, it  upends our comfort levels, leaving us insecure and afraid. It challenges us in all ways, from our expectations, routines our understanding of the world and how we live in it for good.

They said in order for you to go far in every journey you choose, there should be a deep foundation and reason, but on the day I decided to blog was just too shallow that even my own shadow would never stick cause he would refuse to conceive.

There were changes going on around me and eventually it drove me to an empty room with an only silence of truth and pacification of peace that I have carried in mind. I left the baggage outside, attempting to figure out where I’ve been and where should I go. The stunning sunrise slowly spreading its light and filling the space of the earth as I dance to its mood while locking the door and slowly dragging the luggage out of the house and that was the start of everything.

I travel and became a travel blogger with an only intention to document my travels, how my journey made me feel, how it feels like to go to a place that you’ve never been to, how would travel change me from being an empty bottle that was left inside the garbage bin until it was picked up and recycled and has value again. Traveling has changed me a lot, how I see life is now wide, colorful, meaningful and a blessing to behold.
I have traveled to wherever I am today, happily bringing responsibilities and sharing change for the better as my only treasured luggage. I landed to wherever I am at present with a heart full of joy, to inspire and help others to change their perception in life through sharing my travel experiences.

I don’t write to get paid and not to impress, only to inspire. So how and why do they work? As a travel blogger, aside from sharing my travel experiences, my greatest responsibility is to inform and educate other travelers to be more responsible while maintaining my integrity and credibility as a blogger, in this way I can be more free to act independently without losing respect to my fellow bloggers, travelers and everyone in general. Creating content that presents facts as fact and opinion as an opinion is also something I always carry and bear in mind whenever I write, there should always be walls in between to avoid conflicts at the end of my article.

Writing truly from my heart, sharing my travel experiences not to boast, but to inspire others. My success as a blogger does not depend on the amount of viewers who has visited my blog, nor the awards I received, not even the acknowledgement from the people that would possibly lead me to become prouder. Blogging is about touching people’s lives through the word I write, it is about inspiring people to show them that they can as well go beyond limits if they choose to get out of their comfort zone.

Nothing compares to the happiness you get whenever you receive a message from people telling you that you have inspired them to travel as well, telling you that they have been reading your blog because they have been touched of your story. It is a genuine happiness that even a bunch of folded money can never fathom. It is satisfying and fulfilling knowing that there are more people who are being encouraged to travel and appreciate what our country the Philippines has to proffer. Appreciating the stunning sceneries what our country has is something we could transcend from this generation to the coming generation.

As a travel blogger, my word is my sword to inspire, my creativity is my power to let people smile, my ability to explore is my way of showing how beautiful our world is, my photo is my way of saying there is still reason to think beautifully, my travel story is my way of touching people’s lives to let them know that we should always be excited because we can enfold change by pushing ourselves to the limits, get out of our comfort zone and see how big our world is with a heart full of hope for a better change.

  1. As for Adrenaline Romance, we blog to inspire people to travel and live a life of adventure. We blog to help them with their travel plans.

We measure the success of our blog through the inspiring messages of our readers, emails that thank us of how our blog changed their lives, and inquiries on how to live full and fun lives. We don’t blog for money or fame, and we only give a moment’s glance on statistics and numbers. Our happiness stems from our interaction with readers and viewers.

We guess we share the same views on blogging. 🙂

  2. I agree. As a blogger, the intention to inspire other people should be one of the core values. Inspiring, motivating, and giving useful but factual information, these are what readers appreciate.

By the way, if I may… Search Google for font pairings (title and body), I think the font used here in the body (in boldface) is a little difficult to read. Hope you don’t mind.

  4. “Writing truly from my heart, sharing my travel experiences not to boast, but to inspire others” and that is my fave line! I also blog to share and hopefully inspire people out there to pursue what they really love. I may not love writing as much as others but I like to share my experiences to be able to guide others not to make the same mistake that I did or maybe experience the same thing I did. People like you inspires me to be better at my craft. Kudos to you! Keep on blogging and inspiring people!

  5. Hi, Robert!

I admire your courage and your passion with what you do. It’s the exact thing I want to impart to my blog audience: eliminating fear and doing just what makes your heart flutter in happiness and all abundance will pour in to support your journey. Although we know that most people have monetary concerns, I still want to impress upon them that time is what you make the most out of it. So whatever time is left after a day’s work or week, they should spend it meaningfully. In more ways than one we can enrich our lives and all it takes is to decide.

I would love to know more on how you finally decided that this what you’ll be doing.

  7. I love this and I agree nothing beats the happiness when you get messages that people were inspired by you. I used to put my blog inside the box just because of the usual stuff that bloggers should do. But I had the will to inspire others through my blog which is a good thing. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts 🙂

  8. I agree 100% with all you’ve written. Nothing can be much more rewarding than other people, who are total strangers, telling you how you’ve helped them out or how you were able to touch them in one way or another. Great Job! Looking forward for more inspiring posts from you and the others who have the same goal. 🙂

  9. I love the tagline “beyond limits”. Sometimes we really have to step out of our comfort zone in order to realize who we are and what we are still capable of. It’s true, a message from someone who appreciates your blog is heartwarming. Doesn’t matter how many there are. Even one person makes a difference. Keep blogging Lai. 🙂

  10. We blog because we have different reasons. Most that I know blog because it is their passion to write. Others because they find it as a way to destress, attend to events and have fun plus get freebies. For this mom, I agree with you. I blog because I would want to make a change. I would want my voice be heard and from there change reader at a time. It may happen. I believe.

  11. Kudos on your advocacy. I started my blog simply to log and review the movies and plays that I watch. It later evolved to promoting Filipino indie films and theater plays to a wider audience. I do not get paid for this, but I know I am promoting a good thing. – Fred

  12. “Every journey you choose, there should be a deep foundation and reason” I totally agree with this idea. When you’re becoming a blogger, and especially a travel blogger, it shouldn’t be like in 07 just to have someone you can speak with. You have to share something interesting and engaging. Having a good reason to engage in this journey, because it takes some hard work and motivation and if it’s your passion, you wouldn’t want to quit!

  13. What makes your blog stand out for me Ariel, is how you combine your travels with your honest insights and wise take on life. You have a great foundation inside to draw on, that will take you sky high, ‘beyond the limits’.

  14. Great writing! It’s nice to see that there are still travel bloggers who aren’t just trying to make money for free trips. I love your emphasis on trying to describe how it feels to travel, rather than just cut and dry travel information. Awesome approach to blogging….keep it up! 🙂

  15. I try my best to inspire parents (and even non-parents) to go out with their kiddos and ditch the gadgets. I often steer clear from parenting advice because there’s no one way to be a parent really and I guess that goes the same for blogging and traveling.

Cheers to more inspiring travel posts! 😀

  16. The thing is we plan like we live forever which is necessary. However we should always be ready to die tomorrow which is very difficult to wrap the mind around. Everything is uncertain, except change.

How you bring importance to blogging is just remarkable. when you said “As a travel blogger, my word is my sword to inspire, my creativity is my power to let people smile, “, that’s really selfless giving yourself out there to really inspire people every time they read your posts. 19. My main purpose of blogging is actually for myself – to immortalize the travel memories I had and to express my passion for writing. The other benefits are just bonuses that result out of my blogging. Sometimes, I get sidetracked, but I hope to maintain the essence of my blog on why it was born, in the first place. -Claire Algarme

  20. What a very well written post Lai! To blog is really to inspire, not just other people but also ourselves. “..when a sudden change has landed on our comfort zone, it upends our comfort levels, leaving us insecure and afraid. It challenges us in all ways, from our expectations, routines our understanding of the world and how we live in it for good.” so true, but change is inevitable and we should learn to accept that, embrace, and move on. This post is very inspiring! It only shows how passionate you are as a travel blogger. Keep it up!

  21. Wow! Such an inspiration. It’s true that true happiness can be felt through feedback from others that they appreciate what we are doing and that we touched their lives. Material things are nothing compared to the genuine happiness you’ve shared to those inspired by your successful travels. Keep traveling and inspire more people.

  22. Blogging has its roots deep into journalism and the beauty of it is that everyone is free to do it. There are so many inspiring people out there that need to be shared with the world, there are places that inspire and facts that need to be known. And we who write are the ones that should present them to the world and make them dream that everything is possible.

  25. I truly agree. Some people thought of my blogging as my way to flaunt. But it isn’t. Like you, I wanna inspire people too. So much that I want to help them get to places I’ve been to. And at the same time, I keep reading other blogger’s travel guides too, and get to where they’ve gone. And traveling just free me up from almost all my stressors. So yeah! Two thumbs up for this post!

  26. For me as a mommy blogger I want to share my experience in raising my baby for being a toddler and now a little man. I am not also here to impress or to earn that much. But to give an inspiration that even I am a working mom I can raise my son in a good way that I have all the time for him. That I am not just his provider but a mom that can always be there for him

  29. I really like this blog post. And even though we write about totally different things- as a blogger I must say that I agree. We all should write to inspire and help. I’ve so much experience in business and all the self development it takes to have the courage to go for my dreams, handling failure, get back up and experience reaching goals – I love to share all of that, and to help others, that’s why I blog – to educate and motivate. I’m glad to read that you’ve found your calling! Keep up the good work!
